Abdul Qavi Desnavi is a renowned scholar of Urdu language. He was born on November 1, 1930 in Bihar, India. Desnavi completed his school from Arrah town of Bihar, and pursued his under-graduation and post-graduation from St. Xavier\'s College in Mumbai. Popular as an Indian Urdu writer, critic, bibliographer, and linguist, he was honored with many rewards for his literary work.
