Shweta Pandit
Shweta Pandit, born 7th July and brought up in Mumbai, comes from a background of a great musical legacy.
She is the 4th generation of singers in her family.
India's living legend and classical music maestro Pandit Jasraj is her grand uncle.
Her father Vishwaraj Pandit is a renowned tabla player and also the elder brother of bollywood composers Jatin - Lalit and singer actress Sulakshana Pandit.
Shweta's elder sister is Shraddha Pandit, who is also a successful playback singer and song writer in Bollywood too.
Shweta's first recorded song was at age 4 for legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam's ANJALI for master composer Illayaraja.
Shweta continued singing in films as a child for SAAZ, PARDES, RAJU CHACHA, DIL KYA KARE and many more but her first leading BIG break came at age 12 with Yash Chopra's MOHABBATEIN. Shweta created a record then by being the youngest playback singer ever launched in Bollywood singing for the lead actress in a Bollywood movie.

Shweta participated in the popular TV show MISSION USTAAD on 9x and composed and wrote new songs for the first time with her sister Shraddha Pandit and co-singer Naresh Iyer and won the hearts of the audience and the judges, AR Rahman, Javed Akhtar and Lara Dutta and judged the best team on the show for 9 songs they composed.
Shweta is also one of the most popular singers in Telugu and Tamil industry with songs from Kotha Bangaru Lokam, Billa 2, Shirdi Sai, Leader, Marocharitra, Panjaa, Badrinath, Vettai, Aadhibhagwan, Bodyguard and has even been nominated for almost all the songs in these films.
