Born in the year 1969, Ranchi Jharkhand, Sadquat Hussain comes from a family of well educated and Urdu literate people. He completed his formal education and acquired a mass com degree at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi.

This institute fuelled the creative fire within him and he started associating with some stalwarts from the media field like Muzaffar Ali with whom he conceptualized and scripted a film called ‘Gul’. In 2000 he became a part of the ETv networks wherein he played a key role in the conceptualization of ETv Urdu which was formally launched in 2001.

Being a creative person of multiple faculties, he parallely wrote many songs for upcoming artists. The most prominent being the album ‘Nagmagi’ performed by Shibani Kashyap. He followed this up with another hit ‘Sajna aa bhi ja’ for Arshad warsi starrer ‘Waisa bhi Hota hai’.  He also penned a couple of songs for a ‘Hyderabadi’ film called ‘Fun and Masti’.

Today with his vast knowledge of medieval Indian history he is a consulting director at a leading travel channel and successfully runs his production house, ‘Daava Media house’ (estbl. Since 2006) and is also a life time member of the film writers association and film producers association.
