Rakshit started his career in music as a keyboard player and singer with a band called DED RYTE. The band mostly did cover versions of retro music and it is here that his skills as a musician and as a singer came to the fore. He mastered the skills of live performance with this band and also perfected himself on the keyboard.

Subsequent to this successful sojourn, he established his own recording studio in the year 1999 by the name Harmonix. He banked mostly on his skills, his experience, and his knowledge of music to churn out some top quality music which went on to garner admiration and appreciation from many listeners.

Rakshit experimented with various sounds and the result was that Harmonix progressed from being a recording studio for fellow musicians to a complete audio and music production house. Soon, there were assignments flowing in from FM Radio stations for creative radio commercials and jingles. The work brought his music directly to a vast segment of listeners, encouraging him to experiment further and to churn out even more creative musicals.

Then came the mobile content revolution in the world. Rakshit started creating music content for mobile for various clients in Europe and India. He set up a team of 35 professionals and established himself as a successful entrepreneur. Harmonix was then engaged in churning out musical content for several Telecom operators, in addition to Radio commercials.

Currently Rakshit is working as General Manager and Content Head with Indiatimes, Times of India Group’s digital venture.
