Rakesh Bedi Biography of Rakesh Bedi : Rakesh Bedi is a well known comic personality both on television and in Bollywood.Since childhood Rakesh had a passion for acting and had no interest in studies because of which he disappointed his parents but later got encouragement from family and friends to go forward in the acting field.Then the actor joined a renowned theater group and later started his own theater group. He joined the Film and Television Institute in Pune where he participated in many plays.He started his career as a supporting actor in the 1979 film Hamare Tumhare starring Sanjeev Kumar, and then went on to act in over 150 films and a couple of TV serials. He had a little role in Gulzar's "Mere Apne",Some of his most memorable roles were in the 1981 film Chashme Buddoor and in the TV serials Shrimaan Shrimati and Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. He has also acted in a number of Punjabi movies such as Main tu assi tussi. He has also worked with the New Delhi theatre group Pierrot's Troupe.Rakesh Bedi is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India.
