With a fresh vibe and renewed energy ‘Hum Yadon Ke Sang’ is a level higher in terms of Farabi’s innovative riffs and Wajhi’s soothing vocals from their last effort. The focus is distinctly on the serenity of eastern melody and the energy of rock music, this unique blend makes their music very individual and fresh to the listener.
Right from the title track to Waada, from the dreamscape of Tum Meri Ho to the power riffing ballad Aag; RAETH takes us through a variety of emotionally charged tunes. There are brilliantly infused surprise elements like influences of reggae, nu-age rock, as well as alternative without losing the distinct RAETH sound.
Considered to be one of the youngest bands from Karachi, their power ballad ‘Bhula Do’ received maximum airplay simultaneously on rival channels, MTV India and Channel [V], in the same month, apart from other music channels. They already were a teen rage even before they knew it!
