Prachi Desai is a talented Bollywood and television actress. Passionate about acting since her childhood, Prachi started her career right after junior college when she was called for an audition by Balaji Telefilms for their TV show, Kasamh Se. She was selected for the role and at the age of 17, Prachi left her studies and started her career with the television serial and went on to become very popular (to the point of being more famous as Bani Walia than Prachi Desai). After this, she participated in the dance competition show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa which she went on to win.
Prachi made her Bollywood debut with the 2008 blockbuster film, Rock On!! which was also the debut film of Farhan Akhtar. Prachi Desai is a recipient of two Sansui Television Awards, an Indian Telly Award, a KALAKAR Award and The Global Indian TV Award. In 2009, she will be appearing in Life Partner and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.
