Born on 5th February in New Delhi, NICKK completed schooling from Birla Vidya Niketan and went on to Graduate from Hindu College, Delhi University. Music runs in his veins. His Grandfather’s brother Pandit Pran Nath was and continues to remain one of the most reputed Classical singers of his era.
From his very childhood, Nickk showed a bent towards cultural activities, specifically music. His stay in school is dotted wih various memories of performing at various intra-inter school festivals and competitions. He was the Cultural Head Boy of his school.He began his formal training in Vocal Indian Classical Music at the Age of 7. After learning for a few years, he took up training in Tabla With time he realized his calling was in the keys, so he took up playing piano and keyboard very seriously. He is very knowledgeable about the spectrum of instruments and plays a lot of them. He is also trained in Western vocal music and draws his major musical influences from the 70s and 80s Rock and Pop Music.
He has a flair for composing as well as writing Music and lyrics. His album comprises of a beautiful ballad Nickk composed himself.His musical influences are voracious and span decades and legends. From Md. Rafi to Freddie Mercury, Quincy Jones, Asha Bhosle, Celine Dion, Iron Maiden, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Queen, Maroon 5, Rd Burman, David Foster, Shankar Jaikishan, Michael Buble, Yanni.
His new album comprises of 5 songs. 2 videos have been shot in KHARKOV, UKRAINE. Video and music productions of such an order are unseen and unheard of in the Indian Music scenario. NICKK is set to use the latest technology for his live performances, which will be another novelty for the music industry. All his gear is specially customized; from his microphone to his sound system to every trivial detail, making Nickk not just a name, but a brand. His live band and engineer crew comprises of the best musicians and technicians in India. Also, he will be having guest musicians flown in from Europe and US for his high profile concerts and performances.
