Joelene Dove is a pop/pop-rock singer /songwriter/ composer based in Delhi. Joelene started her journey in the field of music as a vocalist, with some of the best Delhi based English rock bands. Soon, she was on her own……as a solo performer, receiving a roaring audience all over India. Joelene Dove’s professional stage experience started in yr 2000. In 2009, she finally decided to start writing and composing her own music. Hence started a new journey as a songwriter/composer too….and led, recently, to her work on her new album.
With a few released singles, and with about 15 ready compositions, Joelene is all set to roll. Currently, she is working on her debut Hindi pop-rock album. Also, she has also joined hands with one of the stalwarts of Bollywood music for her forthcoming commercial tracks (about 10 of them). Some of which you’ll hear soon this year!!
Joelene is not only trained in Rock Vocals and Piano from Trinity College, London, besides having a working knowledge of guitar and drums too, but has also learnt Indian Classical for 6 years…..and thus gained the rare quality of being able to do justice to both English and Hindi music, falling into any genre from soft pop to hard rock!!! Joelene has also been doing songwriting for some of the performing bands and is also working as a Voice and Piano trainer with some leading music institutions of Delhi.
Recently, Joelene Dove was featured on ‘First ones’, a micro-site featuring about 10 artists from around the world by www.pcds.co.in, an off-shoot of ‘Hungama Entertainment’.
Also, Joelene Dove was the winner of ‘best female artist’ award, 2010, amongst independent artists from all over India (doing non-bollywood music). The award was bestowed by ArtistAloud.com, the first website that hosts independent music from all over the world. This first digital music award of its kind was a culmination of a tough competition among about 150 artists, the outcome of which was decided by public votes alone.
