HammerHead, is a four-piece Experimental Thrash/Death Metal band from Guwahati, INDIA which strives to express these violence, mutilation, war, hatred. The agitation of bearing the third - world problems can be felt in their songs, supported by Complex Bass Structure, Progressive Metal Melodies and Old School Thrash/Death Drum beats.

Formed in 2007, when the band (formerly named Y’GGDrasil) found Babylon (Guitars). And have been appreciated and famed ever-since!
Since its formation the band has performed and headlined numerous music festivals in the north east, notably performing at Fire Ball I & II, World Music Day in Shilpagram, Blues in Guwahati [2008] and many more. The band has also been featured on NE TV [2008], Radio Big FM (92.7) [2010], The Flaming Skull Podcast [Metalcast Episode 13 – Into the Blanc] and MyBand LIVE Recording [2011]
