Ray Bradbury was born on August 22, 1920. His most famous writings include Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, Dandelion Wine, and Something Wicked This Way Comes. Some of his other writings include The Autumn People, Tomorrow Midnight, The Magic White Suit, The Day It Rained Forever, and The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit. He wrote across a diversified range of genres such as fantasy, horror, science fiction, and mystery. He was one of the most celebrated writers in the world of speculative fiction.

Bradbury was born in Waukegan, Illinois, U.S. He was always an avid reader. He was rejected admission into the military during the Second World War as a result of his poor eyesight. He took to writing and it was at this time that he met British writer Christopher Isherwood who helped him get through a good critic for The Martian Chronicles. His reputation as a writer grew. Several of his writings were adapted into screenplays such as The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit, The Day It Rained Forever, Device Out of Time, Fahrenheit 451, The Illustrated Man, The Illustrated Man, The Martian Chronicles, I Sing the Body Electric, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and others.

Bradbury died on June 5, 2012.
