Nalin Vilochan Sharma was born in 1916 in Patna. He was the son of Mahamahopadhyaya Pandit Ram Avatar Sharma who was an acclaimed Indologist and historian and taught Sanskrit at Patna University. Nalin Vilochan Sharma walked in his father’s footsteps and taught Hindi literature in this university. His most-popular writings include Drishtikon, Jagjivan Ram, Naken ke Prapadya, Sahitya ka Itihaas Darshan Satrah asangrahit purv choti kahaniya, and Swarna Manjusha. Mandand, Hindi Upanyas: visheshtah Premchand, Naken -2, and Sahitya: Tatva aur alochna were some of his writings that were posthumously published. He died in 1961.
