Steven Kapur, better known by his stage name, Apache Indian is a singer, songwriter, musician and entertainer all rolled into one. Apache Indian started his career by releasing his album, No Reservations with the famous DJ Swami. This album went on to spawn a new genre of music with inspirations from Bhangra and Reggae forms of music and went on to be known as a bhangramuffin sound.
After this came the album which featured the super hit track, Boom Shakalak, which has featured in a record fifty two advertisements around the world and also on the score of a number of Hollywood movies like Dumb and Dumber. An accomplished musician, Apache has recorded music with the likes of Blackstreet, UB40, Sean Paul, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, A.R. Rahman, Pras, Malkit Singh and Jazzy B.
Apache Indian has been honored with a number of awards, some of which are British Reggae Industry Award, Black Music Award and an Asia Music Poll Award apart from numerous appreciation awards. So far he has released six independent albums, the latest being Sadhu. Apart from this, Apache has also featured on numerous tracks by world renowned artists.
