Anmol Malik, daughter of music director Anu Malik, entered the music market at the age of 8 with the song ‘Mujhe Maaf Karna’ from the movie Biwi No.1. She lent her voice to the Aishwariya Rai starrer Umrao Jaan in 2006, and followed it up with the song Chal Mera Haath Pakad Le from ‘Tere Sang’.
But her first breakthrough as a professional singer came in the form of the sensational hit Talli from the movie Ugly Aur Pagli at the age of 17. The song helped her bag the Stardust Award for New Musical Sensation [Female]. Her potential vocal versatility is reflected in her songs ranging from soft love themes to party numbers.
Having collected numerous nominations along the way, Anmol now comes out with ‘The Graduation’, a song about memories and friends, written composed and sung by her.
